Something I learned today.

 
 In  mindfulness  I learned about emotions. We did stretches and learned about a waka. It has an anchor where we can use our breathing or sounds and our body to be calm. Also you can use finger breathing to calm down.

 

Kids in Space

This term we are learning about  space.

On Monday we went to kids in space. Kids in space is  a programme that came to our kura.

We got to dress up as an astronaut. I wore an orange suit. Here is a photo of our class in our suits. 

We learnt about how to eat in space. 

We made a flip book about the moon phases. 

We also made a straw rocket .  

I enjoyed making the flip book.

I made Hungry Caterpillars. I made them out of colour paper. First I cut long thin pieces of paper and joined the end with sticky tape. Then I had to link the next one through the first one like a chain.

I made a sports game. It was hard. Ruby helped me.

My optical illusion

Today with Cool Rise Team we did optical illusions for art. This is my illusion of a tunnel.

 

         I made a Bacteria cell.  it was good Bacteria. i made it out of clay. I had fun painting it. it lived in the stomach.
